There Is An Almighty God Who Loves And Cares For YOU!

Here is what the Bible says…

John Chapter 3, Verses 16 through 21:
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Romans Chapter 5, Verse 8:
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Do You Ever Feel These Feelings?

Do you ever feel something “tugging” at your heart?

Do you ever feel a lonely feeling when there is no reason for you to feel lonely?

Do you ever feel a depressed feeling even when you ought to be feeling happy?

Do you ever feel a lack of fulfillment or completeness even after obtaining and accomplishing what society says you should obtain and accomplish?

On a logical level, you know there is no reason you should feel these kinds of feelings but yet you do.  Well, here is what is going on:

Revelations Chapter 3, Verse 20:
Behold, I [Jesus] stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Here is another one…

Do you ever feel like there is no hope for you? Like there is no way out of the mess your life is in?

Colossians Chapter 1, Verses 13 and 14:
(13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Going farther, have so many bad things happened to you, that you feel there is no reason to go on?  Here is what the Bible says…

Psalms Chapter 146, Verses 5 through 9:
(5) Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: (6) Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: (7) Which executeth judgement for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth the prisoners: (8) The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous: (9) The Lord preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Luke Chapter 4, Verses 18 and 19:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me [Jesus], because he [God] hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he [God] hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Here is still another one for you to consider…

Do you feel like you have done so many wrong and bad things in your life that there is no forgiveness or hope for you?  Well, hear what God says to you…

Hebrews Chapter 7, Verse 25:
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Isaiah Chapter 1, Verse 18:
(18) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

One last one for you…

Do you feel like you do not deserve any peace or happiness?

Romans Chapter 6, Verse 23:
…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians Chapter 1, Verse 7:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

The point here is this: those longing, yearning, unfulfilled, or empty feelings you are feeling are in reality God’s Spirit pulling at your heart-strings because He lovingly wants you to move into a right relationship with Him.  And, no matter what your past has been, God wants to be in a relationship with you through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

Now, let’s move to another important topic…

What Is Sin?

Well, the Bible answers this question for us…

1 Corinthians Chapter 6, Verses 9 through 10:
(9) Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans Chapter 1 Verses 29 through 31:
(29) Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, (30) Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, (31) Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Galatians Chapter 5 Verses 19 through 21:
(19) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness. (20) Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, (21) Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs Chapter 21 Verse 4:
A high look, and a proud heart, and the ploughing of the wicked, is sin.

Hebrews Chapter 3 Verse 12:
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Here is the bottom line…unless you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart, and you are currently keeping all of His commandments, you are a sinner…and there is a way you can fix that today.

The Fact Is, Everyone Has Sinned

Romans Chapter 3, Verse 10:
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans Chapter 3, Verse 23:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Even if you are the perfect model of humanity but you have never accepted Jesus Christ into your heart, you are still a sinner!

1 John Chapter 1, Verses 8 through 10:
(8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

The truth is that no matter how uprightly you may have presented yourself to other people throughout the course of your life, you know within the private recesses of your mind that there are certain thoughts and/or certain actions that you have indulged in that you would not want revealed to the general public…and that is because they were in fact sinful thoughts and/or actions.

It may be that nobody knows about these certain thoughts and/or actions…but you know about them and God knows about them.  If you will be honest with yourself, no matter what anyone else may have said to the contrary, you know in your heart of hearts that they were wrong…and wrong thoughts and wrong actions are sin.

Is This For Real Or Just Fabricated Guilt?

There are those who claim there is nothing “out there” that cares whether a person does good or bad.  But, the Bible proclaims to us that God is very real and He cares very much about how we live.

Romans Chapter 14, Verses 11 and 12:
(11) For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. (12) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

2 Corinthians Chapter 5, Verse 10:
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Now, the following may or may not apply to you but let’s cover it just in case it does…

Are You Rejecting God Because Of A Few Hypocrites?

There are those who assert they do not want anything to do with Christianity because they have seen too many people who claimed to be a Christian when it was obvious they were a hypocrite.

Well, it is true…there are people who claim to be a Christian and who attend church who are nothing more than despicable hypocrites.  Moreover, in the Bible we read that Jesus in fact knows right where satan’s seat is at in every church (Revelations 2:13).

But come Judgment Day, God will infallibly give hypocrites their due judgment.  What is important is that YOU take the necessary steps to make sure you do not end up in the Lake of Fire with all the hypocrites.

Matthew Chapter 7, Verses 21 through 23:
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1 John Chapter 2, Verse 4:
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Romans Chapter 14, Verse 12:
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Now, let’s consider this…

Will Being “Good” Get You Into Heaven?

There are those who try convince their self and others that if a person just lives a good life and conforms to the rules of society, then they will be okay and they will go to heaven because they were a good citizen.  But, that is definitely not true.  What God tells us in the Bible is that there is only one way into Heaven…

John Chapter 14, Verse 6:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Timothy Chapter 2, Verses 5 and 6:
(5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

We now know what sin is.   Let’s now find out what salvation is…

What Does Being “Saved” Mean?

Ephesians Chapter 2, Verses 1 through 8:
(1) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; (2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ (by grace ye are saved;) (6)And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

That leads us to this question…

How Do I Get Saved?

Romans Chapter 10, Verses 9 and 10:
(9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 Corinthians Chapter 7, Verse 10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Romans Chapter 10, Verse 13:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

So What Is The Benefit Of Getting Saved?

Romans Chapter 5, Verse 1:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Deuteronomy Chapter 7 Verse 9:
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments…

John Chapter 14 Verse 21:
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Romans Chapter 5 Verse 9:
…being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Isaiah Chapter 32 Verses 17 and 18:
(17) And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. (18) And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Doesn’t this sound like something you would really like to have?

What If I Don’t Get Saved?

Matthew Chapter 25, Verse 41:
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Luke Chapter 13, Verse 5:
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Matthew Chapter 13, Verses 40 through 43:
(40) As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (41) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; (42) And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (43) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Isaiah Chapter 57 Verse 21:
There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

Romans Chapter 6, Verse 23:
For the wages of sin is death;

Ezekiel Chapter 18, Verse 4:
…the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Should I Wait Until Later?

It is easy to think, “Maybe I should think about this a little more. Besides, I have a few more self-gratifying things I want to do before I commit to being a Christian.”

Joel Chapter 3 Verse 14:
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

Luke Chapter 12 Verses 19 and 20:
(19) And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. (20) But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee:

Did you catch the last line of the preceding scripture?  The fact is, you do not know when your soul will be required of you…you do not know when you will take your breath and your soul will be ushered into eternity and you will never again have an opportunity to get in right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

How Do I Know I Am Saved?

Now, let’s suppose that you have repented in prayer and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. How does a person know that they are saved?

1 John Chapter 2, Verse 3:
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

2 Corinthians Chapter 5, Verses 18 and 19:
(18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;…

Sometimes, it works out where a person has repented and quit doing things they know to be wrong but they still do not feel that internal assurance that they are really saved.

If this describes you, then just keep praying to God in the name of Jesus Christ…keep reading your Bible and obeying what God’s Word is telling you…and you will soon enough feel that complete peace and joy that comes from being in right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

In other words, just keep praying and reading your Bible…and keep honoring what you feel in prayer…and obeying what you read in the Bible…and it won’t be long until you feel that internal assurance that you are saved.

In reading, praying, honoring, and obeying, you will inevitably feel this internal assurance because you are quite literally in a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

In the meantime, just take it on faith that you are saved as you keep the following scripture in mind:

1 Corinthians Chapter 6 Verse 11:
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

I Believe In Jesus And I Have Asked Him For Forgiveness Of My Sins. Now What?

2 Timothy Chapter 2, Verse 19:
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Titus Chapter 2, Verses 11 through 14:
(11) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (12) teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (13) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (14) Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 John Chapter 2, Verses 15 through 17:
(15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he hat doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

2 Timothy Chapter 2, Verses 21 and 22:
(21) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. (22) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Psalms Chapter 85, Verse 8:
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

Philippians Chapter 4, Verses 6 through 8:
(6) …in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (7) And the pace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

What If I Get Saved And Am Really Trying But Then I Do Something Wrong?

1 John Chapter 2, Verses 1 and 2:
(1) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (2) And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.

Here Is Everything In A Nutshell For You…

Now, let’s summarize everything covered above into its essence so you are clear on what you need to do:

  1. Admit to Jesus Christ the Savior that you are a sinner.
  2. Acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and then rose from the dead so that your sins could be forgiven and you could be reconciled to God.
  3. Be genuinely sorry for your past sins, ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins, and determine that with Christ’s help, you are no longer going to do sinful things.
  4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ into your life to become your Lord and Savior.
  5. Through prayer and Bible reading, ask Jesus Christ to lead you into a deeper, richer walk with Him and to help you live fully in His Truth.

In accordance with the preceding, here is a specific prayer you can pray…

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that You are the only begotten Son of God and that You shed Your precious blood and died for my sins. Lord Jesus, forgive me of all my sins and wrongdoing. Lord Jesus, I now ask you to come into my heart and life to be my Lord and Savior.  And now Lord Jesus, I trust that as I go forward as Your child, You will impress upon me what I should be and do…and help me to hear and to obey.  Amen!”

After saying the above prayer, then here is what you do:

  1. Read your Bible every day so that you can get to know God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost better.
  2. Talk to God and Jesus in prayer every day.
  3. Ask in prayer that God lead you to the church in your area that lives most closely to what God instructs us to live in His Word the Bible…a church where Jesus Christ is preached as the only way to God the Father, where the King James version of the Bible is the final authority, and where you can worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians.
  4. Get baptized as soon as you can as a public profession of your Christian faith.
  5. Tell others about Jesus Christ and what He is doing in your life.

Keep in mind that you are human and you are susceptible to doing something wrong.  The way to keep from doing wrong is to keep your mind upon scriptures in the Bible or upon worshiping God the Father and God the Son as much as possible.

Galations Chapter 5 Verse 16:
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Now, let me caution you…

The Christian walk is a spiritual walk, therefore, satan wants to try to make everything carnal.  Satan wants you to be mad at what you have just read above. Satan wants you to feel like what has been said here is just a play upon your emotions.

Moreover, satan may bring it to your mind that all of your friends are going to make fun of you if you get saved.  Satan may bring it to your mind that you will no longer be popular or that you are for sure going to lose any chance you ever had at being popular.  Maybe it will be something different for you, but what you can count on is that satan will bring as many reasons as he can to persuade you that you should not get saved.

But here is a question for you: Would you like to have peace and happiness untold? If yes, then do not listen to all of satan’s “reasoning”.  Instead, just surrender your will and give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and He will give you life more abundantly.

Psalms Chapter 85, Verse 7:
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

James Chapter 4, Verse 8:
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw night to you.

What I can absolutely promise you is that IF you will sincerely desire to know God the Father and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, in all of their truth and reality, you WILL find that they manifest their self to you in undeniable ways.
